Causes of nodules in the eye and the way to handle it

Stye on the eyes or commonly referred to as nodules of course very disturbing. Red lumps contained in your eyes are sometimes very painful and make you tempted to squeeze it.

Stye on the eye are not harmful, but must be treated properly. It can occur when bacteria enter the meibomial glands of the eyelid.

These bacteria often come from the eyelashes, especially if you have a buildup of bacteria in the eyelashes known as blepharitis, which causes the occurrence of dirt deposition in the eyes, according to optometrist Sun Wang, M.D., Ph.D.

The signs of eye stye are the occurrence of lumps along the eyelid, likely to be red or painful to the touch. Eye marks usually occur on the outside of the eyelid, or at the bottom. Stye on the eye usually does not affect vision, although in some cases it can cause astigmatism, which may obscure your view.

If you experience it, check with your doctor immediately. Your doctor may give you oral antibiotics, although eye drops can sometimes work. To avoid getting infected again, finish the treatment until it is completely healed.

The important thing is do not squeeze nodules on your eyes because it is very dangerous.

Pressing the nodule on the eyes can spread the infection to other parts of your eyelids or it can cause cuts and abrasions on the skin allowing other infections to enter. Instead you can soak a washcloth in warm water, or wrap the warm rice with a cloth and make it as a compress on the eye nodule.
