We all know how difficult to control weight loss for a long time. Occasionally you may be temporarily free from the strict diet that has been lived. But, not long and slowly gaining weight can happen again.
A new study highlights some people who find it difficult to keep the weight fixed at the same number after the diet. 34 participants were monitored during a weight-loss program in a study published in the American Journal of Physiology Endocrinology and Metabolism. Everyone lost weight at the end of the study, and only 20 percent managed to keep it thereafter.
This is because participants had higher levels of hunger or ghrelin hormones at the end of the study. When weight decreases, your body produces more ghrelin. Unfortunately, the increase did not adjust over time, as the participants' ghrelin levels remained high even after two years.
Researcher Catia Martins says that everyone has this hormone. But, if you are overweight and then lose weight, this hormone level will increase.
The research team claims that anyone who is overweight and declining, must get increased hunger for the rest of his life.
In addition to hormonal changes, the research team identified other factors that make participants feel hungry that the body's biological ability to save energy.
The team believes that previously overweight people are also hungry as the body tries to regain lost weight. This is because the body is used to need more energy.
