Professor Nick Macklon, director of a leading infertility clinic in the UK reveals the greatest dietary dangers that can affect a woman's fertility and disrupt those undergoing IVF or IVF programs.


He describes a positive lifestyle and eating changes that can be used as an alternative and safe for female fertility as follows.

1. Juice to clean harmful substances

This juice is usually associated with detoxification or toxic disposal in the body. Another interesting element of the diet with detox juice is rapid weight loss. But many do not realize that this method can alter your metabolism and put your weight at an unhealthy level that may prevent you from becoming pregnant.

2. The vegan diet is raw or veganuary

This diet is becoming increasingly popular for those who want to limit eating meat or dairy products. However, the plant-based vegan diet, which means that women can lose key nutrients such as iron, folate and vitamin B. Research shows women who lack these nutrients may have poor egg health and this inhibits the opportunity to get pregnant soon.

3. Foods replaced with nutritional beverages

Using a nutritional drink as a food substitute is considered a successful way of controlling your caloric intake. However, this can have a negative impact on health especially you who undergo fertility treatment. This substitute drink has high sugar content with little protein. Make sure you keep your diet balanced.

4. Ketogenic diet

The ketogenic diet is a low-carbohydrate diet that focuses to restore the body to a ketosis state, where the liver increases to burn fat at a higher rate. This diet is proven to damage the quality of embryos in women who undergo IVF program.

5. Diet with pills and drinks

Many women use caffeinated pill help that promises quick weight loss without much effort. However, these pills are very dangerous because the stimulants in them have been known to increase the likelihood of heart attacks and strokes.

The high content of caffeine in these pills is much higher than coffee, soda or other caffeinated beverages. A study showed that high intake of soda drinks was associated with reduced IVF success.
