The Russian Defense Ministry on Monday says two Israel FU-15 jets attacks the T-4 military base in Homs, Syria.
The two Israel jets fired eight guided missiles but five from eight could be knocked out before hitting the Syrian air base.
"The two Israel planes did not entering Syrian territory, they lost in Lebanon," the Russian Ministry said.
Meanwhile, the Israel embassy in Moscow declined to comment on the allegations of the Russian government.
Lebanon television station Al-Mayadeen said on Monday an Israel surveillance plane was seen flying over the Syrian air base.
Al-Mayadeen reported, the missiles released by Israel jets were spinning over Lebanese airspace over the area of Keserwan and Bekaa toward Syria.
Meanwhile, Syrian news agency SANA reported that several people were killed and wounded without casualties.
SANA also saw the United States behind the reinforcement but Washington denied involvement.
"Currently, the Ministry of Defense didn't commands any attack against Syria," the Pentagon's official statement said.
"Nevertheless, we keep monitoring and encouraging diplomatic efforts to suppress anyone with chemical weapons in Syria," the Pentagon added.
The attack on T-4 airbase shortly after Western powers accused the Syrian government of carrying out chemical weapons attacks on Douma city.
A chemical armed attack discovered by White Helmets, an organization that is very helpful for war victims but by some who are accused of being close to militant groups.
