Singapore Airlines was officially named the world's best airline in Traveler's Choice 2018. The awards given to the airline are based on the reviews given by global travelers about the services and quality of each airline.
"This award is a validation of the hard work and dedication of thousands of our staff around the world who focus their attention every day to ensure that Singapore Airlines remains competitive on a global level," said Singapore Airlines Chief Executive Goh Choon Phong as quoted by KompasTravel from The Strait Times, Tuesday (10/4/2018).
Not only that, Singapore Airlines also get the award for First Class best and the best economy class in the world.
Last year, the airline that was crowned the best in the world is Emirates. However, this year Emirates was 3rd ranked.
The second position this year is achieved by Air New Zealand airline. While the fourth position by Japan Airlines and fifth position achieved by EVA Air.
To determine the award recipients, TripAdvisor itself uses an algorithm to calculate the quantity and quality of reviews that determine flight ratings over a 12-month period.
The tourists can also judge how comfort airplane seats, service, cleanliness, check-in time and boarding flights, food and drinks, to in-flight entertainment.
