The Trump Tower in New York, USA, suffered a fire on Saturday (7/4/2018), causing an elderly man to die.
The New York Police said a 67-year-old man was found unconscious and unresponsive when officers arrived at the scene of the fire.
The man was later declared dead after being taken to Mount Sinai Roosevelt Hospital. Medical officials are investigating the cause of death of elderly men.
"Fires are very difficult to extinguish, as you can imagine, the apartment is spacious, we are up 50 levels.The other part of the building is also exposed to smoke," a statement from New York City firefighters, as quoted by the Straits Times.
The fire began to burn skyscrapers located in Midtown Manhattan around 18:00 local time.
The streets around the building owned by the President of the United States that housed the headquarters of The Trump Organization and Trump's residence have now been closed.
Trump who was in Washington DC chirping on Twitter that the fire had been extinguished. The fire can be extinguished around 21:00 local time.

Officers secured the location to prevent the community from approaching the area. Residents of the apartment in the tower had panicked because there was no announcement to leave the building.
"I started to pray, I thought that was the end of our lives, I called my oldest son and said goodbye," said a resident on the 36th floor, Narinder.
"You can smell smoke and you can hear the sound of a falling object," said the 42nd floor resident Dennies Shields.
There is a fire right now in Trump Tower. Was small and then something happened where the size doubled in seconds!
